We keep cookies to a minimum. Today, sazag.org uses only what it needs to work and to remember your cookie choice — no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files, and “local storage” is a similar mechanism, that a website can save in your browser. They let a site remember things between pages or visits — for example, a preference you set.
2. Cookies we use
| Category | Purpose | Do we use it? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keep the site secure and functioning (e.g. transient abuse-prevention on forms). | Yes — always on; the site can't work without them. |
| Preferences | Remember your cookie choice so we don't ask every visit (stored in your browser's local storage as sazag-cookie-consent). | Yes — set only after you make a choice. |
| Analytics | Understand how the site is used so we can improve it. | Not currently. If we add it, it will only run with your consent and be listed here first. |
| Advertising / tracking | Profile you across sites for ads. | No — we don't use these. |
3. Your choices
When you first visit, we show a short banner. You can accept optional cookies or choose essential-only; either way the site works. You can change your mind at any time by:
- clearing this site's data in your browser (which removes the saved choice and shows the banner again); or
- using your browser settings to block or delete cookies and local storage.
Because we don't currently load any non-essential cookies, choosing “essential only” and “accept” behave the same today — your choice is recorded so it still applies if we add optional cookies later.
4. Third parties
We self-host our fonts and assets, so ordinary browsing does not send your data to third-party cookie networks. Links to external sites (such as our LinkedIn page) are governed by those sites' own policies.
5. Changes
If we start using new cookies, we'll update this page and, where required, ask for your consent first.
